Training

We believe that the definition of training is: A professional organized activity aimed at imparting information and/or instructions to improve the recipient's performance or to help him or her attain a required level of knowledge or skill.

GLEXCON created this platform to help you prevent and prepare for risk events, respond appropriately to critical incidents and ensure with swift recovery. Prior to this we can offer several tailor made training programs.

Medical Training

First aid medical training for Hostile Environments has been designed to cover the specific risks that highrisk and disaster areas present, but also cover the more commonplace need to care for an ill or injured colleague.

The course is focused on providing the best possible medical care, often with limited resources, whilst remote/separated from medical care. When you cannot just pick up the phone and call for an ambulance your medical skills must be robust, but as equipment is likely to be limited it must also pragmatic.

The course content can be adapted to reflect the clients' equipment and risk assessments, along with the likely effects of the environment/situation too which the delegates are deploying.

Modules include:

  • Hazard and Scene Assessment.
  • Mechanism of Injury Assessment.
  • Airway Management.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Treating bleeding injuries.
  • Treat burns and breaks.
  • Improvising kit and equipment.
  • Stimulating and realistic casualty simulations throughout.

Facilitators work side-by-side with participants, using practical activites, interactive simulated experiences, coaching & mentoring to ensure the best possible training impact.
